Autumn Grooming & Fitness Guide

Summer is now officially over and we’re preparing ourselves for the cold part of the year. With every new season, we face the same problems. What new clothes should we get, should we skip an autumn period and immediately prepare for winter and so on. Same goes for the workout and grooming equipment. Even though winter isn’t still here, gone are the days when we could go for a run in shorts and a t-shirt. Even our beards need a lot more attention and care during cold and windy days.

That is why we have decided to put together this guide for grooming and fitness necessities. We will cover all the essentials you need for the autumn season so you know what to get without wasting much time.

Fitness necessities

Autumn is the perfect season for outdoor workouts. Unlike summer where you need to get up very early in the morning to catch a quick run before it gets too hot, in the autumn you have practically the whole day. It’s not as cold as winter and not hot as summer. But of course, this doesn’t mean that your equipment should stay the same.

Autumn is a specific part of the year. One moment it can be sunny and bright and the next thing you know strong wind starts to blow. That is why your workout apparel pieces need to be flexible. The best tip we can give you is to dress in layers so you can adjust to any situation. Also, always prepare for the worst weather. It’s easier to take off your jacket if it gets too hot, then to be sick for a week because you didn’t bring it with you.

Additionally, it’s very important to adjust your diet to autumn weather conditions. While working out on a fresh autumn day is generally more enjoyable than on a hot summer day, your body will waste much more energy to keep you warm. That is why you will have to add some healthy seasonal foods. We strongly recommend pumpkin. Not only does it have a high nutritional value, but it will also help you reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

Grooming equipment

Hot weather and sun exposure does damage to our skin as well as beard and hair. That is why it is very important to take proper care of them after the summer is over. This will probably include a couple of more things than usual.

First of all, you will need to get a skin moisturizer. Your face needs to be moisturized during cold and windy days. There are non-greasy moisturizers that are perfect for bearded men. They are specially designed to keep your skin fresh even under your beard. Next up is beard oil. If you didn’t take proper care of your beard during scorching summer days, then you will probably need to get some essential beard products. Start with beard oil. It will rejuvenate your beard instantly, giving it a soft and gentle feel. Also, a lot of us don’t want to shave when the weather turns cold. But, if you want to keep your beard healthy, proper manscaping is absolutely necessary. Every once in a while pull out your dusty trimmer and remove any excess beard.

And that’s it for our guide. We hope that you learned something useful and that we helped you prepare for the autumn season. Just remember to put on layers of clothes if you decide to go for an outdoor workout and always use a skin moisturizer on windy days so you don’t end up with dry and wrinkly skin.
