Skin Care

Avocado Oil has been found to be a great long term topical treatment for Psoriasis. As explained with this article excerpt below.

'Psoriasis responds well to avocado oil and vitamin B12, according to a study published in the 2001 issue of the journal "Dermatology." Psoriasis patients used the vitamin and avocado oil cream for 12 weeks and showed consistent improvement throughout the study period. By contrast, a group that used a vitamin E cream showed benefits for the first four weeks, after which the effects subsided. The researchers concluded that avocado oil with vitamin B12 may be a useful long-term topical treatment for psoriasis.'

Therefore we have concluded that due to this property the skin must be kept hydrated incredibly well and we would be silly to miss out on such a great carrier oil.

Also Avocado oil has also been studied for its ability to treat skin injuries, and studies in rats have found that it may accelerate wound healing. Surely this would in turn help with Scar tissue and stretch marks.

Most of the time when you use a moisturiser you will find that most contain a high percentage of synthetic ingredients. We have learnt by now that natural is normally better and have less side effects. Avocado Oil is capable of penetrating the skin and helps provide quicker results when making skin softer and hydrated. One property Avocado Oil has its its property as a Humectant which prevents the skin from drying out and allows it to stay hydrated for much longer.

Neutralising Free Radicals / Anti Aging

So we know that antioxidants fight cellular damage caused by free radicals which are a waste product of metabolism. High levels may contribute to diseases like Type 2 Diabetes and Heart Disease. By giving electrons to free radicals, antioxidants neutralise them preventing harm. Many varieties of free radicals exist but some are of more concern than others, such as Oxygen derived radicals known as Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS). Mitochondria the cell organs that produce energy are major sources of ROS.

According to one study in diabetic rats, avocado oil was shown to protect against the harmful effects of free radicals by entering the Mitochondria and once there neutralizing free radicals preventing damage to this important cell organ.

In conclusion.

As you know all these things contribute to great facial hair health. So look after your skin as in turn your skin will look after your beard. Which is why we use such great ingredients in all our products. Our Beard Oil will not only look after your beard but keep your skin fresh and awesome underneath.
